Commission Contract & Payment Terms
By submitting the deposit payment, you are entering into a binding creative services agreement with Dr. Dean J. Scherer and Scherer Impact Music & Media Studio for the creation of a fully custom original song.
The initial payment represents a non-refundable deposit and secures your project in the production schedule. Due to the personalized and commissioned nature of this work, the deposit is non-refundable once writing or production has begun.
The remaining commission balance is due upon completion and client approval of the final composition.
No final audio files, lyric documents, usage rights, or deliverable materials will be released until the commission balance has been paid in full.
By completing either payment, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
Creative Standards & Right of Refusal
Scherer Impact Music & Media Studio is committed to producing meaningful, high-quality custom music created with professionalism and integrity.
We reserve the right to decline any commission request that promotes content we consider explicit, degrading, hateful, sexually graphic, or fundamentally inconsistent with our creative standards and moral values.
If a commission is declined before the writing process begins, any deposit will be refunded in full.
Licensing & Usage
Your custom song is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use, including:

• Private celebrations and events
Publishing ownership remains with Scherer Impact Music & Media Studio.
With written client approval, short excerpts may be used as portfolio highlights.
